Senior Practitioner Sexual Assault – 3 month locum
Zig Zag is seeking a practitioner with experience in the provision of clinical and line management supervision and in therapeutic support to women/young people who have experienced violence/relational trauma. This is a 3 month LOCUM position.
Administration Worker –
6 month locum
Zig Zag is seeking an experienced Admin Worker to coordinate the reception and admin functions for a period of 6 months, while it’s Centre Support team undergoes a restructure.
Zig Zag would like to invite mothers and/or informal carers of children/ young women who have experienced child sexual abuse or sexual assault to attend a series of support workshops.

Zig Zag will again be at the Zillmere Community Centre once a fortnight starting 3rd March.
Royal Commission to investigate Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Whilst this Commission started in January 2013, Zig Zag is aware that the first of the Commission’s Brisbane based Public Hearings starts on the 17th February 2014. As a result, young women may hear/see things in the media that get them thinking about their own experiences. If you are a young woman who wants to talk with someone about the Commission and something that it connects to in your life, remember you are very welcome to talk with a Zig Zag worker.
Zig Zag Young Women’s Resource Centre Inc. is a community based not-for-profit organisation in Brisbane that provides a number of services to young women and the wider community. Services include counselling and support to young women who have experienced sexual assault and medium term supported housing to young women who are homeless.
Zig Zag also provides community education and professional training on issues relating to young women who are affected by homelessness and/or sexual assault. Zig Zag produces a number of information resources for young women, the community and human services workers and professionals.
